Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) - Steel Elbows:

  • May be used where not subject to severe physical damage
  • Permitted for exposed and concealed work
  • Shall be permitted to be installed in concrete, in direct contact with the earth
  • Permitted in areas of severe corrosive influences where protected by corrosion protection and judged suitable for the condition
  • Permitted in or under cinder concrete or fill where subject to permanent moisture when protected on all sides by a layer of noncinder concrete not less than 2 in. (50 mm) thick or with corrosion protection judged suitable for the condition
  • May be used with Aluminum fittings and enclosures when not subject to severe corrosive influences
